Joint Troops of Operation FANSAN Yanma Foil Cattle Rustling, Rescue Kidnapped Victim in Malumfashi

Joint troops of Operation FANSAN Yanma, led by the Nigerian Army, successfully foiled multiple bandit attacks, recovered rustled cattle, and rescued a kidnapped victim in coordinated operations across Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State.

According to intelligence sources, on March 21, 2025, at about 10:30 p.m., armed bandits raided Lanbun Kyauta Village, attempting to rustle cattle.

Upon receiving the distress call, the troops swiftly mobilized a response team, comprising the Nigerian Army, Police, Vigilantes, and Civilian Watch, to intercept the criminals. A fierce gun battle ensued, forcing the bandits to retreat, and the stolen cows were successfully recovered.

At around 11:00 p.m., another distress call from Tashan Fulani Village reported bandits crossing the Federal Highway.

Troops responded immediately, engaging the attackers in a gun duel. The criminals were overpowered and fled into the bush with bullet wounds.

Shortly after, security forces received another report that bandits had kidnapped one Alhaji Sani in Malumfashi Town. Joint troops rushed to the scene, engaged the abductors in a gunfight at Malumfashi Bypass, and successfully rescued the victim unhurt.

At midnight, another report came from behind Malumfashi General Hospital, where bandits attacked a residence. Troops swiftly arrived at the scene, but the criminals had already fled. No casualties or kidnappings were recorded.
