Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist in Kebbi

Troops of 8 Division Tactical Headquarters, Operation FANSAN YANMA in collaboration with local vigilantes, have arrested a suspected terrorist in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Military sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 11:00 a.m. on May 26 while attempting to board a vehicle around Tungan Giwa village.
According to the sources, preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect resides in Rugan Dikko Shehu, a Fulani settlement located along the Geromasa-Yauri road in the area.
The sources further disclosed that exploitation of the suspect’s phone memory card led to the discovery of photographs allegedly showing suspected terrorists displaying sophisticated weapons.
They added that the suspect was currently in military custody while investigation into the matter continued.
