Katsina police foil kidnapping, rescue three victims in Funtua

Police operatives in Katsina State have successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims in Unguwar Dahiru, Funtua Local Government Area.

 

Police sources told Zagazola Makama that  on May 22, 2025, at about 11:00 p.m., armed men suspected to be bandits abducted three individuals from Unguwar Dahiru. 

 

Prompt response by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Makera Division led to the swift mobilization of the Area Patrol Command (APC) team.

 

The patrol team tactically pursued the kidnappers, engaged them, and successfully rescued all three victims. Unfortunately, the victims sustained injuries to their legs during the encounter and were immediately rushed to the General Hospital Funtua, where they are currently responding to treatment.

 

Efforts have been intensified to track and apprehend the fleeing bandits.
