Katsina: troops, NDLEA arrest four suspects in anti-drug raid in Dandume

Troops of Combat Team 3, Machika, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested four suspects during a raid operation in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 3:00 a.m. on April 4, 2026, targeting villages on the outskirts of Dandume town following intelligence on suspected illegal drug activities in the area.
During the raid, the combined team apprehended four suspects found in possession of substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
The suspects and recovered items have since been handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Dandume for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities said operations in the area are ongoing to dismantle drug-related networks and other criminal activities within the locality.
