Military air strikes kill scores of ISWAP fighters in Lake Chad Tumbums

The Nigerian Military has destroyed hideouts of the Islamic State of the West African Province(ISWAP) and neutralized scores of their fighters in the North East of Marte, Borno State.
This was achieved in a series of air strikes executed in recent days, after credible Human Intelligence reports and a series of aerial surveillance missions which indicated the massive presence of the terrorists in KOLLARAM and ARINNA CIKI.
Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad, learnt from intelligence sources that 2 NAF jets were sighted in the evening of July, 15 2023 flying and dropping bombs around ARINA CHIKI in the Lake Chad.
The sources further reported that another group of terrorists on Canoes around Kirta Wulgo were bombed by the fighter jets while trying to cross the Lake to join their colleagues at TUMBUN REGO for possible attack on the nearby military check point.
The attack aircraft, while taking turns to engage the targets, delivered lethal bomb and rocket strikes, resulting in the destruction of some of the terrorists' structures as well as leading to the neutralization of scores of the ISWAP fighters.
