The Nigerian Military has destroyed an illicit market of the Islamic State of the West African Province(ISWAP) and neutralized several  of their fighters in the North East Bama in  Borno State.

The airstrikes were  executed on August 11, 2023, at Arra, after a series of ISR missions which confirmed the presence of several terrorists in the location.

Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad, learnt from intelligence sources that 12 terrorists were killed,  six others were injured while active terrorist structures used as markets were destroyed.

Zagazola reported that shortly after the strikes, eight terrorists surrendered to the troops of 21 armored Brigade Bama Operation Hadin Kai and denounced terrorism.

The sources said that terrorists hibernating in the area have frequently terrorized  soft targets especially farmers  in Kawuri, Konduga and Bama hence the need to decimate them completely.
