NSCDC Intercepts Armed Man at Church in Plateau State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Plateau State on Sunday intercepted a man allegedly in possession of a firearm at a church premises in Bokkos Local Government Area.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m., when operatives of the NSCDC, acting on intelligence, apprehended the suspect during a routine security patrol around a church compound.
“The suspect was found in possession of a gun and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for it. The swift action of our operatives helped prevent what could have escalated into a serious security breach,” the source said.
The identity of the suspect has not yet been disclosed, pending the conclusion of preliminary investigations.
