OPWS troops arrest six suspected armed robbers in Benue

Troops of Sector 1, Operation WHIRL STROKE (OPWS), have arrested six suspected armed robbers at Chembe in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The suspects were apprehended at about 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2026, by troops stationed at JOORTAR during ongoing operations in the area.

The troops recovered two motorcycles and one round of 7.62mm Special ammunition from the suspects.

The suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and appropriate action.
