The Nigerien troops have discovered and safely recovered nine command-detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along a road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The IEDs were discovered at about 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 17, 2026, at different locations between Machan, Gyada and Masaka villages along the Baruten Daji–Dekara Road.
Following the discovery, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team moved to the area and safely disconnected and recovered all nine explosives.
