The Police Command in Nasarawa State has arrested three suspected kidnappers, including an informant, in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy and threat to kidnap.
Police sources said the arrests followed a petition by one Ibrahim Musa of Akiri village in Awe Local Government Area, prompting detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to launch an investigation.
According to the sources, two suspects—Abu Musa, 20, and Musa Adamu, 23, both from Keno village in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State—were arrested on April 17.
Further investigation led to the arrest of an alleged informant, Isyaka Ahmadu, 27, who resides in the same community as the complainant in Akiri village, Awe LGA, on April 19.
The sources said the suspects had made useful confessions and had been profiled by the police.
They added that investigation was ongoing with a view to apprehending other members of the gang and preventing potential kidnapping activities in the area.
