Police defuse bomb planted in Borno IDPs camp by Boko Haram/ISWAP

The Nigerian Police in Borno has successfully defused a bomb planted by Boko Haram and Islamic State of the West African Province(ISWAP) insurgents at Dalori Internally Displaced Persons Camp(IDPs) in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.
Dalori camp is located few kilometers to Maiduguri, along the Maiduguri-Bama road.
A sources told Zagazola Makama, A Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad, that the bomb scare began at about 6:00am when a an item concealed in a sack thought to be an Improvised Explosive Device, was spotted causing the resident at the camp to abandon their shelters and flee.
The sources said that for about three hours, everyone including armed police officers at the camp stood far away, while waiting for the anti-bomb squad to come and verify the content of the items which they thought contained explosives.
He said that the team of the EOD later came and discovered that it was an explosive, planted in the camp to cause havoc. The IEDs were successfully detonated without causing any casualties.
