Police Foil Armed Robbery in Yola by Notorious Shila Boys, Kill One Suspect

Security forces have foiled a robbery attempt by the notorious Shila Boys gang, killing one suspect while others fled during an operation at Jimeta Bye-Pass, near Yan Rake Market, Yola North Local Government Area (LGA).

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that at a distress call was received around 11:00 a.m.from a concerned citizen, reporting that about six armed robbers were attacking people and stealing GSM phones and other valuables.

 

Upon arrival, the armed robbers launched an attack on the police officers, damaging the windscreen of their patrol vehicle. In the ensuing confrontation, one suspect was gunned down, while the rest managed to escape.

 

Security operatives recovered one cutlass, a pair of scissors, and a large quantity of illicit drugsfrom the crime scene.
