SECTOR 3 OPHK/MNJTF PROVIDES FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH TO OVER 500 BENEFICIARIES AT CROSS KAUWA COMMUNITY
As part of its efforts to improve the health care of communities affected by insurgency, over 500 members of Cross Kauwa Community have benefited from a one day free medical outreach programme organized by the Commander Sector 3 Operation Hadin Kai/Multinational National Joint Task Force Brig Gen Suleiman Tilawan on 1 June 2025, in Cross Kauwa, Kukawa Local Government of Borno State.
The Commander Sector 3 who was represented by the Commander 19 Brigade, Brig Gen Shehu Ahmed, said the gesture was part of the Sector's Second Quarter Medical Outreach and CIMIC project in the community.
The outreach, which was hosted by 19 Brigade Nigerian Army, provided free medical consultations, treatment, and drugs to members of the community.
The Bridage's medical team provided medical care to over 500 patients, including women, children, and the elderly in Cross Kauwa Communities.
The Commander 19 Brigade Brig Gen Shehu Ahmed while flagging-off the event on behalf of the Commander Sector 3 said, the exercise was aimed at assisting the communities in tackling some of their immediate health challenges and support the efforts of the State and Local Government Authorities in restoring normalcy to the once ravaged communities. He further assured members of the communities of the commitment of the Sector to providing security through the support of Headquarters Theatre Command and Multinational Joint Task Force.
The Commander who assured the people of their safety urged them to cooperate with the military and other security agencies in order to bring lasting peace to the communities and the North East region in general.
