Security forces contain communal clash in Kurfi LGA

Security forces on Tuesday reported that six persons sustained injuries in a communal clash between Kauyen Dango and Kauyen Sona villages in Kurfi LGA in Katsina state.
Zagazola learnt that the incident, which occurred at about 1100hrs on 23/03/2026, reportedly stemmed from a dispute involving a 12-year-old girl, Mansura Kabir.
On receiving the distress call, The security operatives were able to restore normalcy and prevent further escalation.
The injured victims were taken to the General Hospital Kurfi, treated, and discharged.
Meetings involving village representatives and other stakeholders have commenced, while investigations into the clash are ongoing.
