A Joint Task Force in the FCT has launched a manhunt following the suspected abduction of two residents along Kpobi Road.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama on Thursday  that the incident occurred on Wednesday at about 10:40 p.m.

The sources said the victims, Yohana Madaki of Kaduna State, a staff of Bakangizọ Pharmacy, driving a silver Ford Escape and Mathew Chukwu, a property agent driving a black Ford Explorer, in the company of his three children, were reportedly taken into the bush by hoodlums following sporadic gunfire.

“The three children were later handed over to Gloria Chukwu, sister of one of the victims, while the two vehicles were recovered at the scene and towed to Guzape Division. Teams immediately combed the surrounding areas and bush, but the victims were not found,” the sources said.

The sources added that search operations are ongoing and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators have been intensified.
