Suspected Fulani Bandits Kill Three in Fresh Attack on Plateau Community

Three residents have been killed in a fresh attack by suspected Fulani militias on Tanjol community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, prompting troops of Operation Safe Haven under Operation Unity Haven to launch a manhunt for the attackers.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred at about 2:28 a.m. on Aug. 5, when troops of Sector 6, Operation Safe Haven, responded to a distress call from the community.
However, by the time the troops arrived, the assailants had fled the scene.
The sources said the troops discovered the bodies of three victims identified as Victor Danjuma, 38; Dachun Danjuma, 50; and Nyam Danjuma, 27, all of whom had been killed during the attack.
The bodies were recovered and handed over to members of the community for burial in accordance with local customs.
Military sources said troops have since commenced offensive operations and are combing the surrounding areas in search of the fleeing suspects.
