Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 22-year-old suspected terrorist logistics supplier accused of supplying materials and providing information to terrorists operating around Mada in Borno State.
The suspect, identified as Baba Kaka Abdullahi, was arrested at about 11:36 a.m. on Sept. 11 by troops of 273 Battalion, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and Forest Guards.
The troops were conducting a farming patrol around the Kadauri general area when they intercepted the suspect.
Preliminary investigation reportedly established that Abdullahi had been supplying logistics and passing information to terrorists operating around the Mada area.
The suspect remains in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by troops under Operation Desert Sanity V to disrupt terrorist supply networks and cut off the flow of information and logistics to insurgents operating in the North-East.
