Troops arrest five suspected criminals, recover fabricated AK-47 rifle in Kaduna

Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Sanga, in conjunction with Operation PULAKO, have arrested five suspected criminals and recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle during clearance operations in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The operation was conducted at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, following intelligence on the activities of criminal elements operating from identified hideouts in the area.
Security sources told Zagazola that troops raided suspected criminal hideouts at Kibam, Ungwan Haruna, Nunku and Fadan Wate villages during the operation.
The suspects arrested were identified as Mamman Manu, 22; Musa Lawal, 40; Dahiru Usman, 25; Mammuda Muhammed, 50; and Saleh Idi, 40.
One fabricated AK-47 rifle was recovered from the suspects during the operation.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the suspects were allegedly involved in activities that had been terrorising residents of Sanga Local Government Area and neighbouring communities.
The suspects and the recovered weapon are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary legal action.
Troops have continued clearance operations across the area as part of efforts to dismantle criminal hideouts and restore security in vulnerable communities.
