Troops of 245 Battalion, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested five suspects during a raid operation in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State.
A military source told Zagazola Makama that the operation, conducted at about 2:30 p.m. on April 1, targeted Antamate and Okundi communities following credible intelligence on illicit drug activities in the area.
The source said the troops, working alongside NDLEA operatives, stormed the identified locations and apprehended five suspects found in possession of illicit substances.
He added that the suspects and the recovered drugs were handed over to the NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution.
