Troops of Sector 3, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested four suspected terrorist collaborators and recovered ₦4 million during an operation in Monguno town, Borno State.
The suspects were apprehended at about 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 13, 2026, at Charlie 7 in Monguno, during an operation conducted by the troops and CJTF personnel.
During the operation, the security personnel recovered a backpack sprayer, one arrow and three mobile phones from the suspects.
A sack containing ₦4 million in cash was also recovered during the operation.
The four suspects and the recovered items have been taken into military custody for further investigation and appropriate action.
The arrests form part of ongoing intelligence-driven operations by security forces to identify and disrupt individuals suspected of providing support to terrorist networks operating in the Lake Chad Basin.
Security forces have continued to intensify surveillance, patrols and intelligence gathering across Monguno and other communities in the North-East to deny terrorist groups access to logistics, information and financial support.
