Troops arrest suspected burglar in Bassa LGA in Plateau

Troops of Sector 1 under Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a suspected burglar who allegedly attempted to break into a residential building in Kadamo village, Jengre area of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 12:00 noon on April 4 after he reportedly climbed the fence of a private residence while the occupants were away at church service.
The sources said vigilant troops swiftly moved in and arrested the suspect at the scene before he could gain access into the building.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and necessary action.
Military authorities said security presence in the area has been strengthened to deter criminal activities and protect residents.
