Troops arrest suspected drug peddler with illicit substance in Kaduna

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have arrested a suspected drug peddler and recovered a vehicle conveying a large quantity of substances suspected to be illicit drugs in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The suspect was arrested at about 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 12 by troops of 2 Battalion deployed at Forward Operating Base Polewire.
The troops intercepted the suspect while he was travelling in a vehicle loaded with a large quantity of substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
The suspect and the recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
The arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by troops to disrupt criminal activities and illicit trafficking along key routes in the North-West.
