Troops Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Taraba State

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested two suspected kidnappers during a night operation in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Security sources said the suspects were apprehended at about 11:50 p.m. on May 13 at Ritti Village by troops deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Wukari.
Preliminary investigations reportedly linked the suspects to a criminal gang allegedly responsible for kidnapping activities across Chinkai, Ikyaior, Vaase, Jootar and adjoining areas of Katsina-Ala axis.
Items recovered from the suspects include two mobile phones and the sum of ₦250.
The arrested suspects are currently in military custody and undergoing further interrogation, while security agencies say follow-up operations are ongoing to dismantle the gang’s network and restore security in the affected communities.
