Troops, CJTF Intercept Boko Haram Logistics Movement, Neutralise Terrorist in Yobe

Troops of the Nigerian Army Operation Hadin Kai, in conjunction with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intercepted a Boko Haram logistics movement along the Gashua-Buni Gari axis in Yobe State, killing one terrorist and recovering items, including a motorcycle.
Sources told Zagazoma Makama that the operation followed credible intelligence on the movement of insurgents attempting to transport supplies through the route.
The troops, deployed in the Gashua area for ongoing counterinsurgency operations, engaged the terrorists in a brief but decisive encounter, resulting in the neutralisation of of the terrorist while others insurgents fled.
“A motorcycle and other logistics items were recovered during the encounter. The swift action of the troops and local vigilantes thwarted the movement of critical supplies meant for Boko Haram cells operating in the area,sources added.
