Troops Destroy Terrorist Camp in Zamfara Offensive Operation

Troops have destroyed a suspected terrorist camp during a coordinated offensive operation in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 6:00 a.m. on April 21 by troops of 1 Brigade in collaboration with Tactical Command elements and the Multi-Service Task Team.
According to the sources, the assault followed a pre-H-Hour bombardment by artillery units, while close air support was provided by the Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
During the operation, troops engaged the terrorists in a firefight, forcing them to abandon their positions.
The troops subsequently exploited the area and destroyed the identified terrorist camps.
The sources added that the operation was conducted without any casualties among the troops.
The offensive is part of sustained military efforts to dismantle terrorist enclaves and restore security in Zamfara and other parts of the North-West.
