Troops discover burnt excavators after attack on Plateau community by Fulani bandits

Troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), conducting offensive operations in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, have discovered two excavators set ablaze during a suspected militia attack on Sabon Gida community.
Security sources said the discovery was made at about 6:10 a.m. on April 27 during follow-up operations in the area.
The sources disclosed that the equipment was allegedly destroyed by armed Fulani elements during an earlier attack on the community.
According to the sources, troops have continued operations in the area aimed at restoring confidence among residents and de-escalating tension following the incident.
The sources added that patrols and surveillance have been intensified to prevent further attacks and to stabilise the affected community.
