Troops foil bandit attack in Malumfashi, Katsina

The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have successfully repelled an attempted bandit attack in Malumfashi Local Government Area.

Zagazola Makama gathered that on Aug. 16 at about 9:45 p.m., a distress call indicated that armed bandits were advancing towards Ruwan Sanyi, Unguwar Makera Village.

A joint troops of the Nigerian Army, police and Vigilante were swiftly to the scene, resulting in a confrontation and gun battle that thwarted the attackers’ plans to kidnap and rustle livestock.

Two residents, Muhammad Inuwa, and Babale Abdulkarim, sustained leg injuries and were promptly taken to Malumfashi General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment and are in stable condition.

Patrols were subsequently extended to Garin Gafa Area of Kafur to track the suspects at large.
