Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have lunched man hunt  following the rustling of livestock in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, by suspected Berom Militia.

Security sources disclosed that the incident occurred at Tahoss Community, where suspected criminals reportedly made away with 13 cows and five sheep belonging to a local farmer, Mr. Iliya Dongo.

According to the sources, troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace, responded promptly to a distress report and launched search-and-rescue operations across surrounding communities and likely escape routes.

The sources said the troops combed the general area in an effort to track down the suspects and recover the stolen livestock but did not establish contact with the perpetrators during the initial operation.

Security officials assured residents of continued operations to combat cattle rustling and other forms of criminality in the area, while urging community members to provide useful information that could aid the ongoing investigation and recovery efforts.

They reiterated the commitment of security agencies to protecting lives, property and livelihoods across Plateau State.
