Troops  neutralise 7 ISWAP terrorists clear seven suspected camps in Konduga

Troops of Operation Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised seven ISWAP terrorists, recovered weapons, and arrested a suspected terrorist collaborator in ongoing clearance operations across Borno State.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the  operations, conducted on May 5, targeted known terrorist hideouts and logistics routes as part of intensified efforts to rid the state of remnants of insurgents.

 

The troops under 7 Division Garrison, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and hybrid forces, carried out a clearance operation at Ajilari Cross, Bimi, Duari, Caterpillar Jeria, Gongolori, Isari, and Kartari villages in Konduga Local Government Area.

 

The troops made contact with terrorists at Sumun village, where seven insurgents were neutralised in a gun battle.

 

Items recovered during the encounter include three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, two hand grenades, five cutlasses, and a bow and arrow.

 

The operation recorded no further contact after the initial engagement
