Troops Neutralise Two Terrorists, Recover Motorcycle in Zamfara Patrol

Toops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have neutralised two suspected terrorists during a fighting patrol in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 10:20 a.m. on May 3 when troops of 1 Brigade Counter-Terrorism Unit (CT 6), supported by a Quick Reaction Force (QRF), responded to intelligence on the movement of terrorists along the Bagega–Anka road.
The sources disclosed that the troops made contact with the suspects, leading to a firefight.
According to the sources, two terrorists were neutralised during the exchange, while one motorcycle was recovered from the scene.
They added that troops have continued to dominate the general area to prevent further activities by criminal elements.
The sources noted that operations are ongoing to track fleeing suspects and sustain pressure on terrorist groups in the region.
