Troops neutralize nine terrorists, rescue hostages in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralized nine terrorists and rescued two civilians during clearance operations in Borno State, North East Nigeria.
Zagazola Makama report that troops of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Gajiram, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force, engaged ISWAP/JAS terrorists along the Gajiram–Bolori–Mile 40–Gajiganna Road.
The source said four terrorists were neutralized while two kidnapped civilians were rescued alongside ₦4.3 million and two new mobile phones earlier seized by the terrorists.
In a separate operation, troops of 109 Special Forces Battalion in Magumeri neutralized five terrorists and recovered one AK-47 rifle, five magazines, 31 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and a dagger.
Military authorities confirmed that troops are maintaining aggressive patrols in the area to prevent further attacks.
