Troops of Operation Fasan Yanma Foil Kidnapping in Katsina

Troops of Operation Fasan Yanma have successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt by suspected armed bandits in Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State, rescuing one victim while search and rescue efforts continue for two others.

 

Intelligence sources, told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred on March 7, 2025, when bandits invaded Mashayaya Village, shooting Lado Mekaji in both legs before robbing residents of mobile phones and cash. 

 

The assailants then proceeded to Kolawa Village, where they abducted Bello (M) and Aisha (F).

 

Upon receiving a distress call, security forces, including troops of Operation Fasan Yanma and local vigilantes, swiftly mobilized and engaged the bandits in a hot pursuit. 

 

Lado Mekaji was successfully rescued and taken for medical attention, while the search and rescue operation for the kidnapped victims is ongoing.

 

Security operatives have intensified surveillance and clearance operations in the area to track down the perpetrators and prevent further attacks.
