Troops Recover Arms and Ammunition During Raid in Plateau State

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and the 93 Battalion have recovered arms and ammunition during a joint raid at a criminal hideout in Shendam, Plateau State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation, conducted under the banner of Operation Golden Peace, was based on actionable intelligence obtained from an arrested suspect.
The raid, which took place in the early hours of Dec. 18, led to the recovery of: One AK-47 rifle, One AK-47 magazine, Six rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
The sources noted that the criminals had fled the location before the arrival of the troops, but efforts were underway to track and apprehend them.
Troops are currently conducting follow-up operations to intercept the fleeing criminals and recover more weapons
