Troops rescue two kidnap victims in Kabba, Kogi

Troops of 12 Brigade have rescued two kidnapped victims along the Adankolo–Mosalaci Boka road in Kabba Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Security sources said the rescue operation was carried out at about 6:00 a.m. on March 24, following routine deployment of troops in the area.
The sources disclosed that the troops, stationed at Oshokoshoko, intercepted the victims after their abductors fled upon sighting security personnel.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were kidnapped at Daban Dunya village before being abandoned by the suspects who escaped when they noticed the presence of troops,” the source said.
The rescued victims were immediately evacuated for medical attention and have since been reunited with their families.
