Youth stabbed to death during fight in Yobe community

A fight between two young men in Massasara Ward, Yusufari Local Government Area of Yobe State, has ended in tragedy after one of them was stabbed to death.

 

The incident occurred on Friday morning when 20-year-old Yunusa Yusuf and 22-year-old Gako Suleh engaged in a heated altercation that quickly turned violent.

 

Witnesses said the argument escalated, leading Yunusa to stab Gako in the stomach with a knife. The victim was rushed to a clinic in Kumaganam, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

 

Community members said the suspect fled the area shortly after the incident. Efforts are ongoing by the police to trace and apprehend him.

 

The deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
