Seven Soldiers wounded in IED planted by ISWAP Atleast seven Nigerian soldiers were wounded when they ran into an Improvised Explossive Device(IED), planted by terrorists from the Islamic State of West African Province(ISWAP), during a long range patrol along Maiduguri-Damboa road. The troops from the 134 Special Forces Battalion 7 Division Garrison Maiduguri were escorting commuters when one of the vehicles stepped on the IED planted along the route Delwa - Bulabulin, Damboa Local Government Area on Saturday Feb 12, 2022. No fatality was recorded during the incident but 7 soldiers sustained injuries. One gunttuck and 2 AK47 rifles were damaged, while the wounded soldiers were evacuated to Maiduguri for medical attention.
