Again, troops repel bandits attack in Zamfara

Again,  troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have averted another attack by Bandits in the North West of Tsafe  in Zamfara State.

 

The Combined troops comprising the Army, Zamfara State Community Protection Guard, Civilian Joint Task Force, supported by the Air Component Operation Hadarin Daji, repelled the bandits' incursion into Tsafe  in the night March 25, 2024. 

 

Intelligent sources told Zagazola Makama, that the bandits groups converged in three seperate location before heading towards town. 

 

He said one of the groups dispatched from   Gidan Maitaru along Yankuzo Road, near Gidan Kwalange, after railway crossing in the mountainous area, the other group campe through Dan Amanar Galadima along Yankuzo Yanware Road, while the third group dispatched from Bamamu Gidan Hassan with the intention of attacking Tsafe Town.

 

The sources disclosed that the troops responded swiftly and engaged the terrorists from different axes while the Air Force deployed its attack aircraft to engage them before arriving at the main entrance of the town.

 

It was gathered that several bandits were nutrialised during the encounter. They however, picked and fled with their corpses.
