A team from the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre (NAHFC), led by the Dean of the Faculty of Heritage, Maj. Gen. O.G. Onubogu, has visited Headquarters 3 Division Nigerian Army to assess the operational activities of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP).

Security sources said the team arrived at the division's headquarters at about 9:50 a.m. on November 3, 2026, and was received by the General Officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander OPEP, Maj. Gen. W.M. Dangana.

The team was subsequently briefed on OPEP's operational activities, including the prevailing threat profiles, achievements and challenges confronting the operation.

The sources said an interactive session followed the briefing, during which members of the team sought clarifications and made recommendations on the operational engagements.

The visit was aimed at gaining an understanding of the operational environment and assessing the activities of troops deployed under OPEP.

At about 12:05 p.m., the team departed Headquarters 3 Division to continue the assessment visit to various sectors of the operation.

The visit underscores the importance of operational assessment, institutional learning and the exchange of recommendations in strengthening the Nigerian Army's ongoing security operations in Plateau State and adjoining areas.
