Army, hunters repel attack in Borno, kill 4 Boko Haram/ISWAP

The Nigerian Army troops of Operation Hadin Kai have reportedly killed four Boko Haram/Islamic State of the West Africa Province(ISWAP), when it's repelled an attack in Izge Community, in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno of Borno State.

It was gathered that the terrorists attacked the the town in a multiple wave on Friday at about 8:30 pm in a convoy of heavy armed fighters in gun trucks.

An Intelligent Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad and Security Expert, that the troops of the Nigerian Army and member of the Civilian Joint Task Force station in the town engaged the terrorists in a fierce fight which lasted for 20 minutes, resulting to the killing of four members of the terrorists.

The sources said the Soldiers and the CJTF overpowered the criminals hitting hard on them, leaving scores in pool of blood which led to the terrorists taking to their heels in disarray.

 

Mr Lukman Usman, a Local hunter said "Four of the terrorists were sent to their Creator to face the full wrath of their inhumane as many others fled with various degree of injuries. The Gallant troop together with the CJTF and the Hunters are still in hot pursuit of the fleeing terrorists while weapons were recovered.

Usman said "Izge people are known for their spiritual warfare power in fighting Boko Haram/ISWAP. We no longer run for any body. Infact we have a separate cell where we keep captured Boko Haram fighters. They know that they will never succeed if they attack us.
