Bandits  abduct four villagers in Borgu national park

Armed bandits have abducted four villagers in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, police authorities have said.

 

Sources said the victims, identified as Kasuwa Audu, Ango Ibrahim, Gajeri Abdullahi, and Habu Oro, all of Luma village, were kidnapped on Aug. 28 after they went into the National Park forest to cut Madarin wood.

 

Sources explained that the bandits also set ablaze the truck the victims used for the trip before whisking them away to an unknown destination.

 

The sources added that efforts were ongoing by police operatives and security agencies to rescue the victims unhurt and arrest the perpetrators.
