DHQ Delegation Pays Condolence Visit to Katsina over Death of Retired Maj-Gen Rabe Abubakar

A Defence Headquarters (DHQ) delegation has paid a condolence visit to Katsina State Government and the family of the late senior military officer, Maj. Gen. Rabe Abubakar (rtd), who recently passed away.
The delegation, led by the Chief of Administration (Army), Maj.-Gen. I.M. Abdullahi, conveyed the condolences of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, and the entire Armed Forces of Nigeria over the demise of the retired general.
He described the late officer as a distinguished patriot who served the nation with dedication and commitment, noting that his contributions to national security would remain highly valued.
The delegation also assured the bereaved family of the continued support of the military, while reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Katsina State Government in addressing prevailing security challenges in the state.
During the visit, the team paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Katsina State and was received by the Deputy Governor, Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe, who represented the state government.
The Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the strong bond between the military and the state in promoting peace and security.
The visit was concluded peacefully and described as hitch-free, according to military sources.
