At least five persons were abducted during the recent bandit attack on police facilities and parts of Agwara town.

Zagazola reliably confirmed following the earlier report on the attack on the Agwara Division police station and a church in the area.

Sources sources said the victims were taken from the residence of one Ahmed Burade of Anguwan Busawa, Agwara.

Those abducted are Fatima Ibrahim, Fatima Ahmed and Azima Ibrahim (all females), as well as Isiaku Ahmed and Salim Ahmed (both males), all of the same address.

“The assailants took the victims during the raid, but efforts are ongoing to rescue them unhurt,” the command said.

It added that joint security teams were maintaining pressure on the fleeing bandits, while search-and-rescue operations continued in the surrounding bushes.
