Five Soldiers Injured in IED Attack by Lukurawa in Sokoto

At least Five Nigerian Army personnel were injured on April 11, 2025, when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Lakurawa bandits detonated during a military operation along the Magarya–Ruwa Wuri axis in Sokoto State.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. while the soldiers were conducting operations in the region. 

 

The explosion resulted in serious injuries to the five soldiers, who were immediately evacuated to a hospital for treatment. 

 

The situation is currently under control, as aggressive patrols and monitoring of the area are ongoing.
