GOC charges troops to be vigilant, responsible during operational visit in Zamfara

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division and Commander, Sector 2, Joint Task Force (North West), Maj. Gen. B.P. Koughna, has urged troops to remain vigilant, professional, and responsible in the discharge of their duties during an operational assessment visit in Zamfara State.
Maj. Gen. Koughna visited the area of responsibility of 17 Brigade on March 24, inspecting the Brigade Headquarters, 171 Battalion, and Forward Operating Base Mashi. He received detailed briefings on ongoing operations and the performance of the units.
Addressing the troops, he emphasised the importance of discipline and responsiveness in maintaining security across the state, stressing that vigilance and professionalism are crucial to operational success.
The visit was reported to have been hitch-free, and the GOC expressed satisfaction with the operational readiness and commitment of the troops.
