Lakurawa Bandits Kill One, Rustle Livestock in Sokoto Attack

Suspected Lakurawa bandits on April 17 launched a deadly attack on Kolajiya Village, Mogonho Ward in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing one resident and rustling an unspecified number of domestic animals.

 

Zagazola Sources disclosed that the heavily armed bandits, numbering about 40 and riding on motorcycles, stormed the outskirts of the village at about 2:45 p.m., firing sporadically and causing panic in the community.

 

One Malam Shehu Dan-Ali sustained gunshot injuries during the attack and was rushed to the hospital, where he was later confirmed dead by medical personnel.

 

Nigerian Army troops, and Community Guards, responded promptly and launched a manhunt for the assailants and recovery of the stolen animals.
