Police arrest 8 suspects in connection with murder of UNIMAID lecturer

The Borno State Police Command has reported the apprehension of eight suspects linked to the tragic killing of Dr. Abdulkadir Kamal, a dedicated lecturer from the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

Tragically, Dr. Kamal, a respected member of the Department of Physical and Health Education, was brutally murdered by unidentified individuals in his office at the university on Sunday.

The spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, ASP Daso Kenneth, conveyed this significant update to the press on Monday in Maiduguri.

Upon receiving the distressing news of the incident, law enforcement authorities promptly sprang into action, successfully detaining eight individuals suspected of involvement in the murder.

Kenneth stated, “The command was alerted to the heinous crime involving the murder of Dr. Kamal, who was found slain in his office alongside the theft of his vehicle by the perpetrators.”

He continued, “At present, eight suspects have been taken into custody and are currently undergoing investigations to uncover the individuals responsible for this reprehensible act.”
