Police Arrest Nine Suspected Hoodlums in Intelligence-Led Raid in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested nine suspected hoodlums and miscreants during an intelligence-led raid on criminal hideouts in Iju and adjoining areas of the state.
The operation was conducted at about 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, as part of the command’s ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and prevent the activities of suspected criminals.
According to a police source, the operation was carried out following intelligence on suspected criminal activities within the affected areas.
At the end of the raid, nine suspected hoodlums and miscreants were arrested and taken into police custody for profiling and further investigation.
The suspects are currently undergoing profiling to establish their identities and determine their possible involvement in criminal activities.
The police said the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation and in accordance with the law.
Investigation into the case is ongoing.
