Police  confirm armed robbery attack at madalla hotel

The Police Command in Niger has confirmed an armed robbery attack at Deploo Hotel in Madalla, Suleja Local Government Area of the state.

 

Sources said the incident occurred on Sept. 14 at about 2 a.m. when armed hoodlums stormed the hotel with locally-made guns and other dangerous weapons.

 

The sources  said the robbers dispossessed guests of their valuables, including GSM phones and an undisclosed amount of money, while a Toyota Corolla belonging to one of the guests, Mr. Busari Abdulrasaq from Ilorin, Kwara State, was stolen.

 

“Three victims sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack and are currently responding to treatment at Deyound Hospital, Madalla,” said the sources.

 

The sources  added that a police patrol team was immediately mobilised to the scene but the suspects had fled before their arrival.

 

The sources said efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and recover the stolen items.
