Police foil banditry attack in Katsina, rescue two kidnapped victims

A swift response by security operatives foiled a banditry attack on Bayan Masallachi Quarters near Sabon Garin Safana in Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State, resulting in the rescue of two kidnapped victims.
The attack occurred at about 9:45 p.m. on Friday, when armed men suspected to be bandits stormed the village and abducted some residents.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer in Dutsinma led an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) patrol team to the area and intercepted the bandits at the outskirts of Gidan Maifanfo Village, where a gun battle ensued.
Two victims Aminu Sani, and Zainab Sani, were successfully rescued during the operation, while another victim, Musa Sani, sustained a gunshot injury to his waist. He was immediately rushed to the General Hospital, Dutsinma, for medical attention.
