Police foil kidnapping attempt in Bwari, rescue three victims

The FCT Police Command has foiled a kidnapping attempt in Paya Village, Bwari Area Council of Abuja, rescuing three abducted victims unhurt.
Police sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2025, when suspected kidnappers invaded the village and abducted some residents.
The operatives deployed to the scene, cordoned off the area and engaged the suspects, forcing them to abandon the victims in a nearby bush at Tokolo Village as they fled into the Gidan Dogo Forest.
The sources said the victims were rescued unharmed and have since been reunited with their families while it added that intensive patrols and search operations are still ongoing in the area to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
